POLICIES + PROCEDURES

The health and wellness of our clients, team and community are our top priority.  We are following all safety precautions and guidelines from Santa Clara County ‘mandatory directive for personal care services’, the State of California ‘COVID-19 guidance for hair salons’, California Board of Barbering and Cosmetology, Cal/OSHA and the CDC.

Mister+Mrs Hair Salon has completed Santa Clara County’s updated social distancing protocol, and all Mister+Mrs stylists are licensed by the California board of Barbering and Cosmetology as well as certified in Barbicide COVID-19 sanitation.

  • If you do not feel well, or have been exposed to COVID-19 we ask that you reschedule your appointment for at least 14 days out.
     

  • Please sign our COVID-19 service waiver online form before you come to your appointment. (you will receive our COVID-19 service waiver with your appointment reminder email.)  The COVID-19 service waiver form must be signed within two days of your appointment.
     

  • Only clients receiving a service are allowed in the salon as our waiting room is temporarily closed. (no kids or guests are allowed at this time.)
     

  • When you arrive for your appointment please call or text* us and wait outside or in your vehicle. We will let you know as soon as your stylist is ready to see you. (please arrive 15 min. before your appointment to complete the check-in process.)  *call or text (408) 272-3879.
     

  • A mask is required to enter the salon, and you will be asked to sanitize your hands immediately upon entering. (we have a sanitizing station at our front entrance)
     

  • Masks are required for the entire duration you are in the salon.  We will provide a mask when you register if you do not have one.
     

  • At our front desk you will receive a touchless forehead temperature check and our COVID-19 service waiver if you were not able to sign via your appointment reminder email. (all service waivers need to be signed prior to receiving service.)
     

  • We ask that you bring minimal items with you as our storage and changing rooms will not be available at this time. (no large bags, jackets or backpacks)
     

  • Stylist stations have been physically distanced over 6 feet apart, we have installed dividers between our wash stations, and sneeze guards at our front desk.
     

  • We have installed air filtration to kill germs, bacteria, and viruses throughout the entire salon.
     

  • We are disinfecting and sanitizing our chairs, stations, washbowls and tools between each client; bathrooms and high traffic surfaces (including all door handles, salon equipment, retail shelves, countertops, reception desk and pos ipads) multiple times per day, and the salon will be fogged every night with a ultra-low atomizer fogger.
     

  • As much as we want to, we will not be able to hug or shake hands at this time. However, we do give air hugs and elbow bumps :)
